Venice offers plenty of options to loving couples. Lots of them choose to marry here, others spend their honeymoon in the city and many gentlemen choose to propose in Venice. But that is not all. There are further ways to enjoy the city as the background of a love story and getting beautiful wedding, engagement or honeymoon photographs.
A young charming couple recently hired me for an e-session in Venice after the would-be husband had proposed in Florence.
He preferred a very intimate proposal in another wonderful city followed by a short romantic stay in Venice. This was a great chance to get intense couple portraits capturing their passion and happiness in a very special time of their love story.
The couple enjoyed perfect privacy since most of the e-session took place in Cannaregio, an enchanting yet less-known district of the city. Indeed, this area houses ancient palaces, nice shops and restaurant but is seldom crowded by tourists.
The couple stayed at ‘Ai Mori’ hotel which is named after two statues carved in the nearby street walls and is located in one of Cannaregio’s most enchanting secret areas. The couple felt very at ease, walking carelessly, admiring the palaces’ details, and enjoying the peaceful atmosphere. The area also hosts several narrow alleys and wide arcades providing the couple a nice shelter for passionate hugs and kisses.
Some secret spots in this district also offer a great view on the lagoon where the couple could stop and get photographed in very romantic couple portraits.
The couple then reached the Rialto bridge’s areas which gave the chance to make some passionate engagement photographs with the famous background of the Canal Grande.
Then they treated themselves with a gondola tour and their excited feelings eventually melted into a very relaxed mood. The photographs of these moments show their confidence in a bright future: a very nice start for long-life journey together !
