I was lately hired by a young couple from Kazakhstan who spent a few days in Venice before their wedding and treated themselves with a pre-wedding photo service. I suggested shooting the couple portraits at sunrise and pick them up at the hotel very early in the morning.
We headed to Piazza San Marco and I took some couple photographs in the empty square making the most of the silence and the golden light of sun piercing under the arcades. The rising sun was kind of kissing the skin of the two lovers and the square turned into a stage for a very romantic play with two actors kissing, hugging and holding hands.
Then we took a short photo walk in the Dorsoduro district and took some more couple photo portraits on bridges, alleys and squares. We took some rest in a cafe’ to enjoy a capuccino, then hired a gondola (as the first clients of the gondoliere’s day) for a final photo tour of the Canal Grande with Venice bathing in the morning sunlight.
