Working as a professional photographer for couple portraits, weddings, engagements, honeymoon and pregnancy portraits, I had several chances to observe how couples hold their hands. This is a sweet habit, very common among different cultures: Russian, Asian and American people hold their hands just like the Europeans do.
At the same time, have you ever noticed that none of them do it in a similar way? I mean, it seems to me that a couple have their own way to hold hands, different from all others.
And there are also thousand ways for brides and grooms to cross and touch hands when they exchange the rings during the wedding ceremony…
Therefore I like to focus some of my shots during a couple portrait on this feature, which is so closely related to their personality and feelings, expressing all their uniqueness and tenderness. Two hands holding each other are a very fine mirror of a love story, as you can see from the pictures in this post.
