Russian couple dressed-up in Cranival costumes in Venice during informal photo walk — Danilo and Mariana chose a special photo session in Venice: they hired a photographer to portrait them strolling in the city dressed up with fancy costumes during the famous Venetian Carnival.

I guess everyone of you has heard wonders about the Carnival in Venice. This is indeed one of the most famous Carnivals in the world due to its unique feature: for a whole week the city goes back to the Serenissima Republic times, people walk along the small alleys dressed up like 16^th-17^th century ladies and lords and ceremonies typical of the Republic period are performed in many Venetian campi (squares). Italian and foreign visitors crowd the city to enjoy this special atmosphere and the sight of beautiful fancy-dress costumes and masks.

I lately had the chance to accompany a couple from Russia Danilo and Mariana during their visit to the Carnival in Venice and shot a special couple photo service with the two of them dressed up with elegant Venetian costumes and masks. In order to get the best of this kind of “second honeymoon”, they reserved their masks and costumes back last November and hired me as their photographer for a romantic photo walk in Venice.

We started our informal photo shooting in San Tomà, a square in the Dorsoduro district, not far from Rialto bridge. We crossed several Venetian squares and bridges and squares and stopped in some romantic spots to shoot a few intense couple photo portraits, before approaching San Marco Square where the couple was warmly received by actors wearing luxurious colorful costumes, enriched by precious accessories (hats, masks, feathers and jewels).

Danilo and Mariana enjoyed their informal photo walk very much as it gave them the chance to really taste the Carnival’s unique mood and indulge in jokes and plays as Carnival allows you to do..at least once in a year!

Our photo session in Venice ended with a romantic gondola tour which allowed me to take some photographs of the elegant couple with the background of the Venetian palaces along the Canal Grande.

Luca did such an excellent job with our photos. We got engaged and called him the next day, and he somehow fit us in the next day at sunrise. He knew all the best spots and poses and our photos turned out perfect. We were so happy with them. He also uploaded and edited everything very quickly.
A few months later, we realized we hadn’t properly saved the photos and were pretty panicked, but he responded right away and reuploaded them for us immediately. Overall, such a great experience, and we’re really thankful we chose him

He's the best videographer we could have found in Venice. There are many positive aspects. 1) The ease of contacting him and starting the process. He makes everything very simple and easy to understand. 2) The constant communication, since in my case it was a marriage proposal, and he helped me make everything discreet and perfect. 3) I think it's important to feel confident, and he has that ability to convey certainty and security.
4) The excellent work. The photos speak for themselves, but he has the "eye" to capture the moments.
I recommend him 100%. If you're looking for a videographer in Venice, don't hesitate to contact him.

Luca was absolutely amazing and really helped make an amazing memory for me and my new fiancé. As someone who knows the layout he was able to help orchestrate the best place to not only have a surprise proposal but also capture the most beautiful photos throughout the city even taking a route that would allow us to be close to our dinner reservation. Very friendly and professional and he was such an intricate part of what made our moment spectacular.

Absolutely amazing job by Luca he captured our special moment perfectly! It was a suprise proposal with a photoshoot after and the photos and videos we have from the suprise capture the moment perfectly and the shoot after is unbelievable. An excellent photographer and a very nice person.

Luca was an absolute fantastic photographer to capture our proposal in Venice!

I am from America and have never been to Venice, so I was really relying on my choice of photographer to chose the perfect location, away from the crowds in a spot that would capture the essence of Venice. Luca had a great recommendation and it went very smoothly. I also appreciated that he was flexible with the date and time since the forecast was calling for rain.

Another great thing I appreciated about Luca was that he was willing to speak with me over the phone prior to submitting a deposit. Surprisingly, the 3 other photographers I spoke with before him all required payment to even talk, which was very off putting to me.

Finally, my greatest praise is to the quality of his work. He captured the moment perfectly!

If there was an option for more than 5 stars, Luca would earn all of them. With the help of Luca’s dedication and professionalism, we planned the perfect surprise proposal. Luca is organized, detailed, and very passionate about his work which is why I would recommend him to capture any special occasion or memory. He is very knowledgeable about the best photo spots in Venice and the surrounding areas, and was extremely helpful with the logistics that went into planning a surprise proposal in Venice from overseas leading up to the day of. Luca delivered our edited photos very quickly and the results were amazing.

I hired Luca to capture some romantic moments in Venice, Italy for our 9 year wedding anniversary. We are from North Carolina, USA. My husband, while very photogenic, hates having his picture taken.
