Venice is always worth a visit: in winter for its light; in summer for its sunny days; in autumn for its romantic atmosphere…what about spring? Here are a few good reasons:
Working as a wedding photographer I often come across gorgeous bridal gowns: being them simple or elegant, tailor-made in famous boutiques or inherited by mothers, they are in any case precious garments. Would you like to marry in Verona? Excellent choice: Romeo’s and Juliet’s city, with its old palaces, the famous Arena and numerous monuments is definitely a very romantic place, ideal for hosting destination weddings.
Needless to say, Milan ranks well after Venice or Florence in the list of the Italian cities chosen by local and foreign couples for their wedding. High water is a common event in Venice, especially from October to December. But you can run into it (or rather… walk into it! ) even in springtime. It is mostly due to an unlucky combination of several factors, such as bad weather, tides, winds and artificial digging works which influence the water in the Venetian lagoon and allow the seawater to flood the city in a short while.
There are many places where you can enjoy a break during your visit in Venice, or during a photo service (be it an engagement, wedding or honeymoon photo shooting): the city has many cafés, bars or restaurants where you can drink or eat at any hour of the day and most of the night.
